Gingerbread Recipe Album
Well, it has been a little while since I posted some creative inspiration, but I have been busy crafting and plan to share some of my favorite projects with you! Here is a fun one I designed for Glue Arts' design team involving a Gingerbread chipboard diecut, some diecut squares using Stampin’ Ups die with my Sizzix Big Kick and some other fun embellishments. It is a recipe album ready for filling with your own recipes and/or photos...a heart-felt gift. I have pdfs of the paper pieces and tag art available upon your request. For project instructions, click here to go to the Glue Arts website. Here are a few more pictures of the project...

Sign Up for my CHA Craft Supershow Class!
Most of you who have been involved in crafting have heard of the CHA tradeshow that happens twice a year in the Craft and Hobby Industry. It is where craft manufacturer’s role out their summer and winter releases and buyer’s decide on which products and lines will appear in their retail and online stores. This year the show is in Orlando, FL — how exciting — just a little over an hour’s drive from my house in Melbourne! Following the industry show, there will be a 2 day event open to CONSUMERS, called the CHA Craft Supershow, and I will be teaching a class for Glue Arts. You can go online to register for this class, only $15 and quite a deal. It will be held on Saturday, August 1st from 9 - 11 am. Tickets for the show are sold for 1 day and 2-day passes. Click here for a list of retailers offering discounts on admission and check out the list of craft exhibitors & activities here. For general information about the show, visit the website.
Just look at this adorable Flip Flap Purse/Album that I will teach you how to make. I have included some additional photos showing it unfolded and one close up that are not shown on the CHA Supershow website. All class supplies for this project are included. We just suggest bringing a pair of scissors for assembly. It is also a great opportunity to try out Glue Arts’ adhesives. So all my fellow Florida stamp and scrap pals, be sure to sign up so I can have some familiar faces in my class! And designer friends who are traveling to CHA, be sure to sign up, too! I am so excited about this event and hope to see you there! Only 75 spots available, so sign up as soon as possible!

I won’t be at CHA, but some of my projects will (updated)

It has been a busy summer, and unfortunately, I won’t make it to the summer Craft & Hobby Association show in Chicago next week. However, some of my projects will be on display at the Glue Arts booth. As part of the Glue Arts design team, we were to take three manilla mini albums from Making Memories, add photos and embellishments along with solid colored papers to showcase the Crop & Glue line of adhesives from Glue Arts. One great thing about mini albums is that their size makes them less intimidating than large scrapbook albums to work on. You get started and before you know it, you feel the satisfaction of completing an entire project. And if you have a bunch of photos of a particular subject, vacation or theme, it is a fun way to showcase them. I chose three different themes for my albums: a quirky album showcasing all the goofy ways my family makes me laugh; an album featuring what we loved about living beachside when we first moved to Florida, and an album showing what makes Bella such a loveable pooch. Featured here is the Indialantic, FL album, and the other two are out for publication. The You Make Me Laugh album will be in Scrapbook News and Review Sept. ’08 online issue. The “Our Crazy Dog” mini album will be featured in Crafts ’n Things March ’09 issue.
