Sick to Death

Have you ever heard the expression, “I’m sick to death of something or another?” Well, today I am expressing that I AM SICK TO DEATH OF DEATH. Lately, it seems that no matter who I talk to there is nothing but doom and gloom, bad news, illness, depression and yes, death! Come on, it’s Spring and it is supposed to be a time of new life, happiness and bright skies. To tell you how bad it has gotten, my daughter’s hard drive died, my grandfather died, my nieces’ guinea pig died and on Sunday even my stinkin' cell phone died!!! So, today is a day of protest. I only wish to hear cheery news, think good, positive thoughts and will continue to pray that the clouds will soon pass and we will be surrounded by sunshine again. I am posting a card that makes me smile. It is a card I made for my niece a while back. I am, and always will be, a monkey lover so this happy card called, Juvenille Jungle brings a smile to my face. Hope it brightens your day, too! The set is a clear stamp set from Autumn Leaves called Mindy’s Zoo. It is designed by Mindy Terasawa...boy is she talented! The designs are adorable.

Wow - great card! And guess what? I bought the same set! LOL!

I just realized that I have little tomatoes growing on my upside down tomatoe plant - so thats my good thing for today :)

Thanks, Suz! It is such a cheery little set. Didn't have many for making kid cards so I just loved it. Yay...tomatoes already? Mine has the little yellow flowers that seem to sprout before things start happening. Thanks for sharing your bright spot of the day. LOL The good news about my cell phone that crashed is that they gave me a brand new one...Ashley was super jealous.

Beautiful card and layout with one of your beautiful models. Just back from a memorial service (and the news in the past week that 2 of my former schoolmates passed away) but the service brought us together with wonderful family members that we hadn't gotten to see in many years. Teenagers--now grown and successful and wonderful company. It is good to love and be loved!

Ree, Sorry to hear of the loss of your former classmates. Funerals are no fun. Hope the dose of sunshine today brightens your spirits and lifts your heart. It is sort of ironic that funerals, although sad, have a nice aspect in that we then get to see many of those people we haven't seen in such a long time. Bittersweet!
